Reiki-Science of healing by touch

What is Reiki ?

Reiki is ancient method of healing by touch. Mahatma Buddha and Jesus and many other sages are known to be healing the patient by this method. Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words Rei and ki. Rei means universal consciousness and ki means cosmic energy.

What Reiki is not ?

Reiki is not a religion or a principle neither is it hypnotism nor a magical trick.

“Congrats”! You have won 500,000,00GBP in the May edition of SHELL COMPANY UK INT\‘L mobile draw .contact Dr. Robert on E-mail: spde051@live.com to claim …..

I remember same type of modus operandi adopted via e-mail, a few years back. One of my friends received the e-mail and told me about it. We decided to take the shot by sending reply e-mail. In reply we were told to send account details so that amount may be sent, we told them to send by cheque. After few days they told us that one of our representative well come with cheque for home delivery. But because they have incurred tax & other delivery expenses. They required us to get ready with 500 USD.To which we replied that we can pay only that much amount after receiving the award money. There representative is awaited till day.

O.k. coming to sms, after reading the sms I did a Google search for SPDC. I found that it stands for SHELL COY, so I visited SPDC (shell company) website, they have also bear receiving many calls and E-mail regarding the same matter, on there website they have warned against it. So it’s an outright fraud so beware. The calls/sms/e-mail are mainly from West African countries mainly Nigeria as per in my knowledge

If you receive any such e-mail/SMS:

• Do not disclose your personal account details

• Cross check the calls by asking their no. and by calling then back.

• Ask them to send money by cheque.

• Tell them liability if any will be paid from award amount.

Airtel Gprs settings to access internet on XP Platform

Step 1. Setup of Bluetooth & Mobile phone
Step 2. Configure Bluetooth Modem link
Step 3. GPRS setting on the mobile phone
Step 4. Setting up of Dial-up Networking (DUN)
Step 5. Troubleshooting
Step 6. Initializing GPRS setting manually.
Manual setup of a cell phone serial modem link via Bluetooth

Step 1 : Setup of Bluetooth & Mobile phone

On computer: Plug-in Bluetooth dongle into USB port, wait while Windows installs the device.

On phone: Enable Bluetooth on your phone, and keep it switched on for the duration of the setup.
On Nokia 6820 -> Menu -> Settings -> Connectivity -> Bluetooth -> Bluetooth On

On computer. Add a new Bluetooth device (your mobile phone)

On Control Panel -> Bluetooth Devices- > Add ->

clip_image001

Select 'My device is set up..' and press next to search for device

clip_image002

If the phone was found after searching for it, the following is displayed...

clip_image003

Note: If you receive the following message...

clip_image004

Check the following:
1- If the phone is switched on and that the Bluetooth is enabled.
Check for the ((º)) symbol on the display of the mobile phone. This shows the Bluetooth is on.
2- If you are sure that the Bluetooth is enabled on the phone, ensure that you have disabled any other 3rd party Bluetooth software - if it was installed as it may conflict with the standard drivers on the system.

Following the next step, after successful detection of the mobile phone, you will be prompted which passkey mechanism to use, select 'Let me choose, my own...' and enter a passkey. In this example I use 0000

clip_image005

After the next step, the phone should now display...

The Nokia will now display...

Pair with?
<Computer Name>

Press Accept on the phone.

The phone will now display that you should enter the passkey, type in the key that you have selected, for my example it was 0000.

clip_image006

The phone will now display:

Connect with?
<Computer Name>

Press Accept on phone. You'll now see some messages displayed on the task tray (next to clock as the device is

installed)During the installation new COM ports will be added to Windows which are associated with Bluetooth

and the communication with the phone.

It is important to make a note of the 'Outgoing COM port' as you will have to select it at a later stage.

clip_image007

In this example we make a note of COM port 3 as we need to select it during the DUN setup.

Back at the Bluetooth devices form, the display will now show the phone and that the passkey is enabled.

clip_image008

Step 2: Check if the Bluetooth Modem link has been configured.

On XP -> Control panel -> click the 'Phone and Modem Options'->Modems Tab

clip_image009

Notice that a Modem has been installed over the Bluetooth link, the attached com port may differ for your system.

If the Bluetooth link is not shown:
1. Cancel the dialog, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, and then return to this dialog.

You can test if the modem enables the phone, by selecting Properties->then the 'diagnostics tab' then 'Query Modem'

This should result in the computer attempting to query the modem, which now is the mobile phone, the phone will display a message

Connect with?
<computer name>

Step 3: Setup op GPRS on the mobile phone
You must either setup the GPRS settings on the phone or perform a manual setup for the modem as explained in Step 6 .

Step 3a: Setup op GPRS on the mobile phone. - Nokia

The next step is to setup and enable GPRS on the mobile phone. These instructions are for the Nokia 6820, 6230, but the menu items will be similar for other models.
On Menu-> Settings -> Connectivity -> GPRS -> GPRS connection -> select 'Always Online' (You can always change this to 'When needed' once everything is working
On Menu-> Settings -> Connectivity -> GPRS -> GPRS modem settings
select option 'Edit active access point'

now select 'Alias for access point'

type in a name, this is just a descriptive name and can be anything, but it may be useful to name it so that you know to which network it belongs

now select 'GPRS access point' as “airtelgprs.com”

On the phone display you'll now see the G symbol, indicating that the GPRS is enabled.

Step 4: Setup of Dial-up Networking (DUN)

On Xp , in the Control panel -> select 'Network Connections', then select 'Create a new connection'

clip_image010

clip_image011
clip_image012

Select to use a dial-up modem.
clip_image013

Now only select a single option - the Bluetooth link on the COM port that was installed earlier, in this example it is COM 3, but it may well be different to your computer.

clip_image014

Now enter a name for the dialup

clip_image015

For the phone number use *99#
NOTE: This will instruct the phone to use the default or 1st GPRS profile on your phone. If you have multiple profiles GPRS profiles on your phone and you do not want to use the default profile, the change the phone number to *99*n# and replace the n with number 1-9 of the profile you want to use.

clip_image016

Then leave the username, password empty!
Decide if you want to make this the default connection or not.
clip_image017

Finally decide if you want to make icon on desktop fro this connection

clip_image018

You are now ready to attempt an internet connection!

clip_image019

Once again leave the username and password empty and press dial.

The mobile phone will display
'Connect with?'
<computer name>

Accept this

and on XP, you'll see

clip_image020

If all is well you see the following

clip_image021

Also notice on the mobile phone that the GPRS symbol has changed to G in a frame- this means it's connected!

You are now ready to surf the internet and download email etc.

Step 5: Connection issues

If you get the message 'Subscribe to GPRS first' the following may be wrong.

1. Most likely cause : the GPRS access point is incorrect. Contact your service provider to get the correct name for your network.

2. What I've noticed is that if you are roaming abroad and not using your home network, you may have to supply a username and password for the dial-up connection for the network you are using. Once again contact the network provider for this.

Step 5b: Connected, but cannot access websites. Error such as "The page cannot be displayed"

The dialer shows that a connection has been established, but when you try to access a website the page error "The page cannot be displayed" is shown. This may be a DNS error; the connection cannot locate the Dynamic Name Server. After extensive testing, the following was established:
-this problem was only on a XP system with Service pack 2 build 2149
-supplying a correct DNS address in the IP setup of the dialup network connection, did not resolve the issue.
- a workaround was to supply a manual GPRS connection string for the modem.
- installing the latest service pack did resolve the issue.

Step 5c: Dials send login information, but fails on registering on network
- you probably have multiple GPRS accounts configured on the phone, and the DUN is using the incorrect one. Several solutions to this: On the phone swap the GPRS accounts, such that the one that can connect is first, or change the DUN dialer to include the number of the GPRS connection you wish to use. If you have a phone that the default access point can be set, check that the name of the access point is correct.

Step 6 : Manual setup of the GPRS initialization.

As indicated earlier, if you experience connection issues, another approach is to force the mobile phone to use a specific GPRS connection. This will override any setup of the GPRS settings on the phone itself.

On XP -> Control panel -> click the 'Phone and Modem Options'-> Modem Tab ->Modem Link -> Properties -> Advanced Tab

clip_image022

Select the Bluetooth modem link and press 'Properties' button. Then on the Advanced Tab of the dialog that is shown, locate the input ''Extra initialization commands".
Enter the following text and press OK
+CGDCONT=1,"IP","airtelgprs.com"<cr>

clip_image023
Click OK, and close the dialogs, then attempt the DUN again.

Whole internet is on your finger tips……. Enjoy

A father’s viewpoint!

“He will have to learn”. I know that all men are not just, all men are not true. But teach him also that for every scoundrel there is a hero; that for every selfish politician there is a dedicated leader…… Teach him that for every enemy, there is a friend. It will take him time I know; but teach him if you can, that a dollar earned is of far more value than five found….. Teach him to learn to lose….. And also to enjoy winning. Steer him away from envy if you can, teach him the secret of quiet laughter. Let him learn early that bullies are the easiest to lick…… Teach him if you can the wonder of Books…… But also give him quiet time to ponder the external mystery of the birds in the sky, bees in the sun, and flowers on a green hillside.

“In school, teach him it is far more honorable to fall than to cheat…… Teach him to be gentle with gentle people and tough with the tough. Try to give my son the strength not to follow the crowd when everyone is getting on the bandwagon. Teach him to listen to all men……. But teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth, and take on the good that comes through”

Teach him if you can how to laugh when he is sad…… Teach him there is no shame in tears. Teach him to scoff at cynics but never to put a price tag on his heart and soul. Teach him to close his ears to a howling mob….. And to stand up and fight if thinks he is right. Let him have the patience to be brave. Teach him always to have a sublime faith in himself, because then he will always have sublime faith in mankind.

My First Blog Post

As i am new to blogging I have seen this informative video at you tube to learn more about blogging. Its a good video for beginners

What is swine flu ?

Swine flu is a respiratory disease, caused by influenza type A which infects pigs.

There are many types, and the infection is constantly changing. Until now it has not normally infected humans, but the latest form clearly does, and can be spread from person to person - probably through coughing and sneezing.

What is new about this type of swine flu?

The World Health Organization has confirmed that at least some of the human cases are a never-before-seen version of the H1N1 strain of influenza type A. H1N1 is the same strain which causes seasonal outbreaks of flu in humans on a regular basis.

But this latest version of H1N1 is different: it contains genetic material that is typically found in strains of the virus that affect humans, birds and swine. Flu viruses have the ability to swap genetic components with each other, and it seems likely that the new version of H1N1 resulted from a mixing of different versions of the virus, which may usually affect different species, in the same animal host. Pigs provide an excellent 'melting pot' for these viruses to mix and match with each other.

How dangerous is it?

Symptoms of swine flu in humans appear to be similar to those produced by standard, seasonal flu. These include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, chills and fatigue. Most cases so far reported around the world appear to be mild, but in Mexico lives have been lost.

How worried should people be?

When any new strain of flu emerges that acquires the ability to pass from person to person, it is monitored very closely in case it has the potential to spark a global epidemic, or pandemic. The World Health Organization has warned that taken together the Mexican and US cases could potentially trigger a global pandemic, and stress that the situation is serious.

However, experts say it is still too early to accurately assess the situation fully. Currently, they say the world is closer to a flu pandemic than at any point since 1968 - upgrading the threat from three to four on a six-point scale following an emergency meeting on Monday.

Nobody knows the full potential impact of a pandemic, but experts have warned that it could cost millions of lives worldwide. The Spanish flu pandemic, which began in 1918, and was also caused by an H1N1 strain, killed millions of people. The fact that all the cases in the US and elsewhere have so far produced mild symptoms is encouraging. It suggests that the severity of the Mexican outbreak may be due to an unusual geographically-specific factor - possibly a second unrelated virus circulating in the community - which would be unlikely to come into play in the rest of the world.

Alternatively, people infected in Mexico may have sought treatment at a much later stage than those in other countries. It may also be the case that the form of the virus circulating in Mexico is subtly different to that elsewhere - although that will only be confirmed by laboratory analysis. There is also hope that, as humans are often exposed to forms of H1N1 through seasonal flu, our immune systems may have something of a head start in fighting infection.

However, the fact that many of the victims are young does point to something unusual. Normal, seasonal flu tends to affect the elderly disproportionately.

Can the virus be contained?

The virus appears already to have started to spread around the world, and most experts believe that containment of the virus in the era of readily available air travel will be extremely difficult.

Can it be treated?

The US authorities say that two drugs commonly used to treat flu, Tamiflu and Relenza, seem to be effective at treating cases that have occurred there so far. However, the drugs must be administered at an early stage to be effective. Use of these drugs may also make it less likely that infected people will pass the virus on to others.

The UK Government already has a stockpile of Tamiflu, ordered as a precaution against a pandemic. It is unclear how effective currently available flu vaccines would be at offering protection against the new strain, as it is genetically distinct from other flu strains. US scientists are already developing a bespoke new vaccine, but it may take some time to perfect it, and manufacture enough supplies to meet what could be huge demand.

A vaccine was used to protect humans from a version of swine flu in the US in 1976. However, it caused serious side effects, including an estimated 500 cases of Guillain-Barr=E9 syndrome. There were more deaths from the vaccine than the outbreak.

What should I do to stay safe?

Anyone with flu-like symptoms who might have been in contact with the swine virus - such as those living or travelling in the areas of Mexico that have been affected - should seek medical advice. But patients are being asked not to go into GP surgeries in order to minimize the risk of spreading the disease to others. Instead, they should stay at home and call their health care provider for advice. After the WHO raised its alert level over swine flu, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office began advising against all but essential travel to Mexico.

What measures can I take to prevent infection?

Avoid close contact with people who appear unwell and who have fever and cough. General infection control practices and good hygiene can help to reduce transmission of all viruses, including the human swine influenza. This includes covering your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, using a tissue when possible and disposing of it promptly. It is also important to wash your hands frequently with soap and water to reduce the spread of the virus from your hands to face or to other people and cleaning hard surfaces like door handles frequently using a normal cleaning product. If caring for someone with a flu-like illness, a mask can be worn to cover the nose and mouth to reduce the risk of transmission. The UK is looking at increasing its stockpile of masks for healthcare workers for this reason. But experts say there is no scientific evidence to support more general wearing of masks to guard against infections.

Is it safe to eat pig meat?

Yes. There is no evidence that swine flu can be transmitted through eating meat from infected animals. However, it is essential to cook meat properly. A temperature of 70C (158F) would be sure to kill the virus.

What about bird flu?

The strain of bird flu which has caused scores of human deaths in South East Asia in recent years is a different strain to that responsible for the current outbreak of swine flu. The latest form of swine flu is a new type of the H1N1 strain, while bird, or avian flu, is H5N1. Experts fear H5N1 hold the potential to trigger a pandemic because of its ability to mutate rapidly. However, up until now it has remained very much a disease of birds. Those humans who have been infected have, without exception, worked closely with birds, and cases of human-to-human transmission are extremely rare -there is no suggestion that H5N1 has gained the ability to pass easily fromperson to person.

Where can I get further advice?

Further information and advice on swine flu can be found at websites of leading health and research organisations around the world. The World Health Organisation gives background information

<http://www.who.int/csr/disease/swineflu/en/index.html>on the virus. The UK's Health Protection Agency advises the public<http://www.hpa.org.ukwebw HPAweb&HPAwebStandard/HPAweb_C/1240732817824?p=3D1240732817665>aboutwhat to do if returning from an affected area. NHS Choices outlines<http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pandemic-flu/Pages/Introduction..aspx>how swine flu is different from other flu. The US government's Centre for Disease Control is counting <http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/> the number of cases in the US. You can also track the spread of swine flu reports using unofficial sources. Healthmaps maps viruses <http://healthmap.org/en> using news reports. Social media guide Mashable lists some ways to track the virus<http://mashable.com/2009/04/25/track-swine-flu/>.
